(Has anyone ever done this before?) Are people REALLY this stupid?
UPDATE! Originally posted 12 hours ago.
My brother in law is having a garage sale in an hour or so, and he threw a few things in there…
Namely:
A 6-foot wooden pole for calling it a "Replacement broom stick, or a great way to collect a debt" (SOLD! After whacking me over the head and demonstrating it’s debt collecting abilities)
A 2×2x4 block of timber with a sticker saying "The possibilities are endless" and a price tag of (SOLD! He scraped off the sticker and some kid bought it about an hour later, declaring it a ‘lucky piece of wood’, genius)
A bag of cans that had all the labels scraped off for … Just a bunch of cans (Not sold, I was expecting this one to be the one that was sold, not the other ones)
And a tree, planted, in his (my sister’s) back yard, named in their honor for . (SOLD! Some guy bought it for his girlfriend! LOL, there is now a tree named "Claire" in their backyard)
A coupon for a romantic love song, or Rod Stewart’s ‘Do ya think I’m sexy?’… FROM ME. I never gave my permission, but in the end, I ended up in a bidding war against 2 17 year old girls and a creepy old guy. I wouldn’t have minded the 17 year old girls since I’m only 19 myself and they’re, well, legal, but the old guy probably woulda won it. I ended up paying
All of this alongside the usual pieces of crap people usually sell at garage sales, old speakers, children’s toys, an antique mirror, various other odds and ends, but has anyone ever thrown something completely random in there for an odd price?
And a new question, are people really this stupid to buy all this crap? Not including me. I did mine for a very practical reason.
